At NorthPark, Prayer is a priority! It's a priority because it is an act of faith, and we know that "without faith it is impossible to please God" and that "he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him".
We are encouraged by scripture to "Pray continually"
(1 Thessalonians 5:17). We're also encouraged to "be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Phillipians 4:6)
God's Word is so practical! God knows us. He knows we often want to "do something" that only He can do. Out of His goodness, He allows us to participate in His redemptive, healing, soveriegn work--through prayer!
A clear understanding of who we are--the creation--and Who He is--The Creator--gives way to a clear understanding of our role in getting things done. When we are desirous of something or we're in need, there is something we can do...we can pray! We have a good God who cares intimately for each of us and loves to answer prayer!

NorthPark has ongoing prayer groups. Every Sunday Morning at 7:40 AM a group meets in Solomon's Suite upstairs across from the Celebration Center. This time is a designated for a time of prayer for the the church, the morning's services, and God's work in people's lives. There are also prayer opportunities after the 8:00, 9:00, and 10:30 services--also in Solomon's Suite. These times are available for folks who feel they need individual prayer or just someone to pray with.
If you are interested in interceeding in prayer on behalf of our church, contact Pastor Bob Lininger at
